Sharing is caring!

Planning a vacation for a family in New York City can be overwhelming when there are so many different places and things to see. There is no city quite like New York City. With all of the museums, parks, zoos, theaters, and other features, where are the best places to go? The answer is easy. With everything New York City has, there is something for everyone.

1) Hotels

Location is everything, especially before a long, fun-filled day of adventuring in the city. The first and most important thing for any vacation is deciding where to stay. The Meadowlands in New Jersey is a perfect place to consider. Right outside of the city, it’s a quieter place to get some rest and a great place to start daily tours!

  1. Museums

The possibilities are endless for families with children who love to learn and see the arts. The Children’s Museum of Manhattan has five floors of exhibits designed specifically for children. Museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art are perfect for families with young ones who have a love for all things creative. Then, anyone with a love of history will go absolutely crazy for the American Museum of Natural History.

  1. Nature

Museums aren’t even close to the only thing
New York has to offer kids. Try taking the family to the Bronx Zoo to see one of the largest zoos in the United States. Central Park is also always worth a visit to see all of the statues, ride the carousel, take part in all sorts of recreational activities, and visit Strawberry Fields. You can check out some of the largest zoo which has many cool activities to offer.

  1. Shopping

Stores of all kinds line the streets of New York City. The Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller Plaza is perfect for little gamers, and every princess would love the Disney Store on Fifth Avenue. There are many stores in the city that aren’t found anywhere else in the U.S. and they are definitely worth checking out.

  1. Landmarks

What would New York be without the landmarks that define this wonderful country? The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are two iconic destinations that any visitor should witness. All of the different sections of the city give definition to the different cultures that call the great city “home.” Even a short visit to Chinatown can give the kids a great learning experience about Chinese culture, and some authentic Chinese food.

  1. Travel

The entirety of New York City is a very populated and busy place. It can be hard to get from point A to point B at any hour. It’s always worth making use of the subway systems and public transportation to get to your destination. The kids would love a chance to be on the underground train, and Mom can stress less about Dad not stopping to ask for directions.

New York City, the city that never sleeps, is an amazing place to take a family vacation. With lots of careful planning, it could definitely be the trip of a lifetime.
