There are a few myths that you need to watch out for when you are taking care of your unit.  You can keep an eye on the unit when you are in the house every day, and you also need to remember that most people who are using these myths will do more damage to their units or run them for too long because they are not fit for that.  You also need to be aware of how power is used when you are working with these devices because they are all different, they all run in their own way, and they are often hard to understand.

1. They Need A Lot Of Service

2. They Use A Lot Of Power

3. They Are Loud

4. They Can Run All Day

Your devices should be run in cycles which is why you need to use a program so that you are not running the fans too much.

5. The Freon Is Expensive

Freon recharging is not that expensive, and you rarely need to get it done.  You would need to have a very big leak to lose a lot of Freon in a year, and you can get a recharge done every few years with no trouble.

6. They Are Hard To Replace

You can replace these devices with no trouble, and they will routinely give you the cooling effect that you need.  You should also remember that the HVAC company you use can take away the device to help you avoid dealing with it yourself.  

7. You Need More Than One For A House

A modern unit can actually cool your whole house.  You would need to have a very big house to need more than one HVAC unit, and it is something that you can buy with a lot of confidence because you can get the right unit for the right price without spending too much or feeling like you cannot afford to replace the unit.
