Uses for Baby Oil!

Sharing is caring!

The picture above is my daughter, Riley, and her first bath at home. What a sweet moment it was. Definitely something I will remember for the rest of my life.

I want to talk about the things that we use for baby’s baths. We all need the head to toe shampoo & baby wash, and either the lotion or baby oil – which do you use? Usually I would switch it up. Sometimes I would use lotion afterwards and sometimes I would use baby oil. Now that my daughter is older, I like to sometimes put in a drop or two of baby oil – it really makes her skin so much softer! I absolutely love the feeling! And baby will have moisturized skin – so she’ll be comfortable!

As an adult, during the times when my skin is very dry, mainly in the winter, I like to put some baby oil on my feet, elbows, knees and hands because they just get so dry and irritated. The baby oil really helps moisturize and hydrate my skin. I also like to use baby oil on my hands after doing dishes because the dish soap dries my hands out so much – the baby oil remoisturizes them and they feel as good as new! And another great use for baby oil as an adult is as a makeup remover – I just put a little on a cotton ball or swap and it takes my make up quickly and easily and leaves my skin feeling soft afterwards. Since baby oil is hypoallergenic it doesn’t irritate sensitive spots on your skin and face, like your eyelids, so it’s perfect for using as a make up remover!

Do you have any uses for baby oil? Especially ones for other than your skin? I would love to hear them! Just leave a comment below! 🙂

  1. I was just thinking today how my son Judahs skin seems to be extra dry! I am totally picking up baby oil tomorrow. I don’t know why i never thought to use it. I did use it before (before I was a mom) to remove makeup 🙂
