The main job of a holistic dentist is to ensure general oral health. They focus on flossing, brushing, and medicinal treatments. They may also recommend more general remedies such as some changes in diet and nutrition, herbology, spiritual healing, and pretty much all things for the good of oral health.

What Dental Conditions Do Holistic Dentists Treat?

A holistic dentist not only takes care of the teeth but also the general oral health. They have the knowledge to prevent and treat multiple oral problems using multiple ways, remedies, methods, herbs, and treatments.

Some of the services you will expect from holistic dentists include composite fillings, whole, and general health evaluation, alternative head, jaw, and sometimes neck pain treatments, dental check-ups, oral health education, training, and techniques, and dental cleanings.

They may also offer other services such as oral cancer screenings, ozone therapy, acupuncture, and massage. They don’t treat dental and oral health separately from general physical health. They instead focus on factors that your entire health might have on oral and dental health.

Apart from training and education, this means they may also encourage and recommend other diagnostic screenings. All of these contribute to the overall oral health and the education and training a holistic dentist provides are for the betterment of oral hygiene and health.
