Orthosis is a field related to medical sciences in which devices related to orthotics problems are designed, manufactured, and their application is carried out. Orthotics Shops are those shops which sell these devices. These devices are used to change structural and functional characteristics of neuromuscular and skeleton. Just like any medicine orthotics products are used for treatment too, orthosis can be used for following purposes:
- It can control, limit, guide, or immobilize any joint of the body for a particular reason

Foot orthoses are custom made products that are inserted into shoes; these insoles provide support to the foot by redistributing ground forces and realigning joints of the foot while you are running, walking or standing. These products are highly useful for people with deformities of foot, knee, hips and spine. Not only these products are used by the patient, but athletes also use them to improve their performance and to avoid soft tissue inflammation.
There are AFO or ankle foot Orthoses these braces encumbers both foot and ankle; it is used to support weak limbs problem limbs with muscle contracted are normalized by its support.
