Easy Happy Easter Banner Tutorial | Optimistic Mommy

I don’t know about you, but I am so glad that winter is over and it is officially spring! With spring comes beautiful flowers, being able to play and garden outdoors, and Easter! Easter is a wonderful time of the year, especially with the true meaning of it. To get your house in festive spirits, today I am sharing a great craft that you can make to hang up! And best of all – it’s pretty easy to do!

Happy Easter Banner

Supplies:

  • Wooden Letters (3″ Tall Light Weight Letters Were Used)
  • Scrapbook Paper In a Variety of Patterns
  • Mini Clothespins
  • Glue Stick
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Xacto Knife

Begin by laying out the letters in order and deciding which letters will be covered with each pattern of paper. Set each set of letters with the correct paper. Cut the paper into squares just large enough for each letter.

With the scrap book paper face down, cover the face of each letter with glue stick and firmly press onto the backside of the paper. Allow glue to dry completely.

Once all letters have been glued onto the paper, use the xacto knife to make a precise cut around each letter.

Lay out the letters in order and cut a length of ribbon for each word, leaving enough to tie a knot and have the ribbon hang at each end. Next, attach the letters to the ribbon with the mini clothes pins.

Hang and enjoy this Happy Easter banner for the Easter season!
