Like I have said in a few other posts, Riley has officially started preschool. Which means more morning time dedicated to mommy – yay! I think this whole school thing is great for both of us – Riley gets to go learn at school and play with kids, and I get much needed alone time. Win-win for all. 🙂 I thought I would share a bit about my “mom time out” each morning. First, I had stop at Walmart for a refill of Bigelow Tea!
I love the great variety that Walmart has of Bigelow Tea. I am sure that you will be able to find a variety that you like! I love getting the assorted box, because it has many great flavors – including the Sleepy Time and Herbal Lemon varieties. I also love the Red Raspberry. It is delicious over ice!
I like to heat my water up by just doing a cycle in my Keurig without a K-Cup. Did you know you can do this? It’s pretty awesome! I don’t like having to stand at the stove waiting for water to boil. So this is easy peasy and gets done within minutes. Of course you also have to have a fun mug – My “I’m Crafty and I Know it” mug is my favorite. 🙂
My “Mom Time Out” always occurs right after I get Riley on the school bus, and at night after she goes to bed. I use it as a time for reflection, prayer, and some bible reading. It helps me get ready for the day ahead, and to relax and slow down at night. My favorite variety of tea to enjoy in the morning is the Herbal Lemon – the lemony taste is great! And at night, Sleepy Time. It helps me sleep a little better at night.
If you are wondering why Bigelow Tea is my favorite, I have a few reasons. I like to support American companies, and since Bigelow Tea is 100% American made by an American family, it fits the bill. Did you know that there’s a program called Bigelow’s Tea for Troops? They have sent almost 4 million bags of tea to troops overseas. How great is that?! Another pretty cool thing is that Bigelow Tea’s Charleston Tea Plantation is America’s largest working tea garden, and guests are invited to the plantation for tours, weddings, and a variety of music festivals. If you are near that area, you should definitely check it out sometime!

I love the tea for troops program. Sending tea to the troops is a great thing to do and give them a reminder of home.

My time outs usually include a book and a bath. Hubby always knows when I’m stressed out and tells me to go get a bath!!
My mom time outs usually involve a book and a bubble bath. I often will curl up on the couch with a good book and a cup of Bigelow tea too!!

I love drinking tea, and I will have to make my tea in the Keurig. I like orange spice tea and Green tea because it is so healthy. Bigelow tea makes great tea-they have so many flavors.
