Having trouble figuring out just what you want to include in your new home remodel? Look no further than this article. Here we include the most trendy and worthy tips to make your house a dream to come home to. Here are four ways you can remodel your house to fit your personal style and budget.

Open Concept Kitchen And Living Room

If you go into any modern house these days, open concept kitchens are booming and growing in popularity. The idea of this type of kitchen is unity and family. You can cook in the same room where people are watching TV. This way, you can enjoy your company without having to walk back and forth from one room to the next. Or worse, yell across the house! Open concept kitchens and living rooms are inviting and easy to design. Many people like to add a large island to the middle of their kitchen to differentiate the boundary lines between the cooking room and the lounging room. Others like to keep the space completely open and even add a dining room to the mix. The choices are completely yours to decide. If you feel more than willing to start an interior remodel process, and at the same time, you lack ideas or what would be the best choices based on your budget, you might want to consult experts like Lakeside Renovation & Design.

A Newly Landscaped Yard

Not only are large living areas trending, but nicely landscaped yards are all the rage in modern homes. Add your favorite shrubs to add a bit of privacy if you live in the city, and add a pop of color underneath your windows by using your favorite flowers. One great tip to landscaping your yard during a remodel is not to skimp on the sod! Newly laid sod will help make the yard look healthy a d more inviting to your guests. If you are selling your home after remodeling, new home buyers will be more likely to buy your home if the yard is landscaped. If you need any inspiration or ideas on landscaping, click here.

New Flooring

Though we might overlook it, flooring can really make or break the feeling of a clean and tidy space. New flooring is the way to go if you need a facelift for your home, but don’t want to add too much structural work. Remember to keep the common areas free from the carpet. This will save you the hassle of cleaning them after you have had a party, or your pet runs into the house on accident. If you live in a warmer climate, wood floors are not a great choice for flooring. Instead, use floor tiles or commercial vinyl flooring so that the material doesn’t expand from the moisture and ruin on you.

New Fixtures

Another thing that can really put a date on a house is the fixtures. Anything from ceiling fans to light fixtures, outdoor sconces to shower heads. You should replace them all if you want to give your home a real updated feeling. Other fixture type things you can consider replacing could include the sinks, toilets, showers, and appliances that might be old or broken.

Taking the time to remodel your home can be a challenge. The reward is so much greater, though. Whether you are selling your family home or simply upgrading it for more use, take these four tips and use them to design your dream home.

  1. We just moved house, so not remodeling but I took all of these into consideration while we were shopping. Our old home had carpet, which was a pain to clean, so I looked for somewhere with wood flooring and I love it so far. It’s also got a large open concept kitchen/living area, which we have already taken advantage of for hosting. We are missing our own yard, but there is plenty of public parks nearby and I don’t miss having to mow the lawn!
