Camping is my all-time favorite outdoor activity. It brings along something for everyone. You don’t need to be an outdoor person for camping. It’s an activity for all, kids, adults, and elderly people.

Also, camping provides you the best opportunity to explore the countryside. In fact, a number of sites in the world are particularly famous for camping, including Mountain Cook National Park in New Zealand, the Alps in France, Asturias in Spain, the Seto Inland Sea in Japan, and more.

If your budget allows or if you can manage to save a considerable amount of money, I would suggest you visit the sites mentioned above and have an incredible camping experience.

Hunting

If you have a keen interest in wildlife, hunting is an outdoor activity for you. Hunting can teach you a lot in life, from patience to accuracy and efficient calculations. It can prepare you to deal with various difficulties in life.

It is especially helpful for people who are into astronomy. Yes, studying astronomy can be daunting, but stargazing can make it interesting and simple. There’s a whole universe out there and so much to explore; you just need to take a start from somewhere.

If you have a professional telescope, there’s nothing better. In case you don’t have one, you can always rent one. On the other hand, some people enjoy gazing at the stars through naked eyes. It all comes down to what you like and what you don’t.

Moreover, choosing the right site for stargazing is essential. Due to air pollution, stargazing is not possible in urban cities and towns. However, there are a few places that are popularly known for stargazing. As per National Geographic, Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal, Western Australia Outback, La Palma in the Canary Islands, and the Atacama Desert in Chile are some of the greatest sites for stargazing.

Horse Riding

Horse riding has been a fan-favorite activity for thousands of years now. It’s a hobby of several aristocrats, world-renowned leaders, and educationists in the world. It won’t be wrong if I call it an elite outdoor activity.

If you like horses and enjoy horse riding, I would recommend you take out some time once or twice a year and go horse riding. You don’t need to have your own horses for it as certain clubs offer horses for riding purposes and games like polo.

If you’re already an expert in horse riding, you can also try polo. It’s a phenomenal sport and again, it’s an activity that aristocrats love. On the flip side, you can also buy your own horse if your budget allows. Many clubs allow keeping your horses. You don’t need to bring them home, the club will take care of them for you.

Scuba Diving

If the water world fascinates you, you must try scuba diving. The underwater world is entirely different than what you see on the surface. There’s so much to see under the water. From different wildlife creatures to their habitats and lifestyle, everything is incredible in its own way.

The best part being, you don’t need to be a swimming champion in order to enjoy scuba diving. It’s usually administered under professional supervision, so there’s nothing to worry about. Still, if you’re scared of it, you can start with snorkeling.

Snorkeling is performed closed to the upper-water level, so it’s a great activity for beginners. Oh, and be careful when choosing the destination for scuba diving, not every destination is safe. Thistlegorm in the Egyptian Red Sea, Manta Ray Night Dive in Hawaii, USAT Liberty in Indonesia, and Richelieu Rock in Thailand are a few renowned sites for scuba diving.

Outdoor Cooking

Last but not least, here’s the simplest of them all. If you want to indulge in an outdoor activity without really leaving your home, you can try outdoor cooking. Trust me; it’s more than fun.

I often host an outdoor barbecue and it gives me great pleasure to serve my family and bond with them. Most of all, you don’t need to be a master cook in order to host an outdoor barbecue party, you just need to have the essentials.

A portable barbecue grill, some meat, and a few spices are all you’re going to need. If you’re not into cooking, I would suggest you consult a recipe book or two. BBC food blogs are also great for beginner-level cooking.
