BroiledDijon Burgers
Serves2
1 Egg or 2 Egg Whites
1 Tablespoon Fat-Free (Skim) Milk
1 Teaspoon Dijon Mustard
1/8 Teaspoon Salt
1/8 Teaspoon Pepper
Cup Soft Bread Crumbs (About 1 Slice Bread)
2 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Onion
Pound Extra-Lean (At Least 90%) Ground Beef
2 Whole-Grain Hamburger Buns, Split, Toasted

Set oven control to broil. Spray broiler pan rack with cooking spray.

In small bowl, mix egg, milk, mustard, salt and pepper. Stir in bread crumbs and onion. Stir in beef. Shape mixture into 2 patties, each about inch thick.

Place patties on rack in broiler pan. Broil with tops about 5 inches from heat about 10 minutes, turning once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160F. Serve on buns.
Tip:
Use whole wheat bread for making the bread crumbs, andlook for whole-grain hamburger buns. Top burgers with low-fattoppings, such as sliced tomatoes, sliced onion, pickles and mustard.
