Car Caché Review & Giveaway! | Optimistic Mommy

If you’re a female I am sure that, on more than one occassion, you have had your purse in the passenger seat while you’re driving and you’ve had to make a quick stop. What happens, especially if it is open? Everything spills out on the floor. What a pain! Luckily Catherine Seifert has an awesome product to help us out! It’s called the Car Caché – and let me tell you – I love mine!

Catherine set about creating her very first Car Caché right on her dining room floor after becoming perplexed that there was no specific place to store your purse while driving – especially to keep it clean and easily accessible. She has partnered with another certified, woman-owned business enterprise in the Midwest that is manufacturing every Car Caché so it is strictly made of the most quality standards!

The Car Caché is, esentially, a hammock for your purse. With just a couple super easy steps, you have a great place to put your purse so it won’t fall all over the floor if you have to make a quick stop and it’s easy to reach back and get any items you may need! This has definitely come in handy a few times when my daughter is in the back seat screaming because she’s hungry – I just reach right between the two front seats and grab fruit snacks, or whatever else I have in my bag, for her and hand them to her! No rooting around for a mile trying to find something that you need!

It fits my Thirty-One purse very well and if I have the diaper bag for my daughter, I can simply loosen the straps that hang from the posts on the driver and passenger headrests to make the bigger bag fit! Easy-peasy! 🙂

In all, it took maybe 3 minutes to completely install the Car Caché. (They have a great video here to show you how to do it!) For the first couple of days we couldn’t get the middle console to completely shut because of the middle drawstring – but we finally found a way to put it so it would stay shut! So happy about that!

The dimensions of the netting portion is 14″ high and 16.5″ wide at it’s widest point and narrows down to 8.5″ wide. The straps that go to the headrest are approximately 1″ wide and 18″ long, but the length is adjustable as needed. The middle console braids are 3/8″ wide by 15″ long. If you’re wondering, the netting of the Car Caché is made of vinyl coated polyester. The webbing and headrest straps are made of polyproylene and the console strap is made out of nylon. I’m really happy to let you know that it can be washed in a cool, delicate cycle! Just make sure to remove the clips before washing. If you have any other questions, make sure to check out Car Caché’s FAQs!

I’m so excited that, thanks to Catherine, she is allowing me to giveaway one Car Caché! So nice of her! To enter to win, simply use the Rafflecopter form below! The giveaway ends 10/30 at midnight. 1. These look great! Awesome to be able to keep my purse or tablet off the floor of the car.

  2. This looks useful; I would love to give it to my mom so she can keep her purse within easy reach.

  3. That has happened to me more than once where I stop and everything goes flying. What a great idea.

  4. Linda Trinklein says

Yes I could def use this!! Would be a huge help! thanks

  5. I really need something to keep my purse off the floor! Im always searching for it and it falls over spilling all the time. lol

  6. This looks great i need something like this my purse/phone are always ending up under the seat lol

  7. What a fantastic idea! Why didn’t anyone invent this sooner?! I want one.

  8. So, I don’t carry a purse.. but I do have my mini laptop bag with me often. I wonder if it would work with this? It’s a great concept!

  9. Our van has a nice spot built in for all of my bags and stuff. But our car….it needs one of these desperately!

  10. My problem is keeping my Pocketbook from falling into the backseat when I have a passenger with me! Or onto the floor from the frint seat when I am driving solo. Now if they could just come up with a solution for me I’d be eternally grateful. This does sound like a great product for those who do not have a bad arm and can reach into the back seat!

  11. I so need this. So so convenient!

  12. This is a great idea. It’s so simple that I’m actually shocked that none of us thought of this sooner. 😉 And you have me pegged: I don’t know how many times my entire purse has spilled all over my seat, leaving me to find random tubes of lip balm or dimes months later. LOL

  13. Looks like a great product. It sure would help out with a toddler in the car who always want something or even the bigger kids. 🙂

  14. Holy cow, this is genius! When I’m driving with other people it’s hard to find a spot for the purse since I put it on the seat when I’m alone. I usually drop it in the passenger’s lap and say, “Find a spot for this in the back”, LOL! My BFF could use this too! Will this work with extra-ginormous bags? My purse is huge. Thanks for the giveaway!

  15. Now that is cool, I could really use something like that. My car is always a disaster!

  16. Seriously… I have almost gotten into accidents because I am trying to stop my purse from spilling!! I know it’s stupid, but it’s just instinct!! Glad to see someone came out with a solution.

  17. This is SO cool! I’m always trying to reach behind me to grab my purse. This would totally save my reach!!

  18. I soo need this.. I have a mini van and NEVER enough room for MY stuff..this would be great.. thanks for sharing

  19. The car cache looks like a great way to store those things I need to reach often!

  20. I would love to have one of these. I’m constantly trying to figure out the best place to put my purse so it doesn’t fall over. Haven’t found it until now. Hope I win.

  21. What a cool concept. Since my oldest can now sit in the front seat, I no longer have a spot for my purse. Which, by the way, drives me nuts! And, I do not want to out my purse on the floor because it slides all around. This is a great idea, I’m gonna have to check it out.

  22. I think this is genius! Can’t count how many times my purse has slammed into the dashboard off the passenger seat!!!

  23. Anita Breeze says

This is actually a really good idea. I have dumped my purse so many times! Plus it could be used for keeping others things handy as well.

  24. Oh I love this! How do I hate my stuff flying around! Finally there is a great solution for it 🙂

  25. I would love one of these. I think this would help greatly when I am trying to keep my purse upright and drive. If I sit it in the seat it falls over and stuff spills out.

  26. This is such a great idea. This actually happens to me all the time, especially if I have to stop short because someone hits their brakes in front of me on the highway. It is so frustrating to have everything fall out of my pocketbook out of my reach while I am driving and can’t bend down to retrieve it.

  27. This seems like a great way to keep your purse in one place and still be able to have it accessible to get things out of it you need..

  28. That sure beats things rolling around on the floor. I like this idea!

  29. this would have been super handy about 11 hours ago when my purse went flying and spilled EVERYWHERE today!

  30. I love this! great idea!

  31. these do look very convenient and most of their products are high quality too

  32. This would be such a great product for traveling with my twins. I am always trying to reach for things on the passenger seat on long road trips. This would give me MUCH easier access.

  33. i have had my purse go flying and spill one to many time this would be great to have

  34. What a cool product?! My purse spilling just happened to me today, so I need something like this STAT! lol

  35. That’s pretty cool!!! I’ve always had trouble with what to do with my purse to keep it from spilling all over the car. I would love this.

  36. Looks very useful and you can bring it anywhere you want.
