If you need a new “adult” beverage for the holiday season or a party, I recommend this Citrusy Shirley Temple Black Drink. It’s the perfect time to pull out fresh cocktail recipes. You can serve them with appetizers at a party, or just have a few drinks with your friends at a small gathering.

I remember growing up, I loved drinking Shirley Temples. I always wanted to add extra maraschino cherries, and I felt so very grown up with my tall glass and cocktail fruit. Now, I love a grown-up cocktail and this black’ twist on the Shirley Temple is one of my favorites for the holidays.
This Shirley Temple Black Drink has Bacardi Rum and a twist of lemon to brighten up what can be a heavily sweet drink. You could also use an Italian soda with lemon or orange in it, as well, though I used 7Up for mine.
Make sure that you get high-quality maraschino cherries. They’re a little more expensive but they’re worth every penny, I promise!
Happy Holidays & bottoms up!
