Me and my family moved house a few months ago to a beautiful location which is quite rural. We have the benefit now of having lots of fresh air and beautiful countryside on our doorstep. One thing I am really missing is Cracker Barrel’s pancakes for breakfast every weekend. Nothing compares to Cracker Barrel pancakes – slightly crispy on the outside and super fluffy on the inside. Just thinking about them makes my mouth water!

Believe me when I tell you that I have tried many different recipes which claim to be Cracker Barrel-Style Pancakes, but only one deserves the title and that’s’s recipe! They are really easy to make and my family loves them too.

I‘ve made this recipe so many times now I almost know it off. But I always consult the recipe when making these pancakes just in case I forget a key ingredient. The recipe recommends mixing full fat buttermilk with melted butter and eggs in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, sift flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt and sugar together and combine with the wet dry ingredients. The secret to fluffy pancakes every time is to cook them on a hot griddle or nonstick pancake pan!

If you are on the lookout for easy, tasty Cracker Barrel-Style Pancakes, do not miss out on this recipe. It is a pleasure to follow such a simple step by step photo guide to making pancakes.
