Do you love to hand up beautiful art around your home? I know that I do. It can be tough some times to find the right piece that fits you without going to your local store and having the same art as a friend. This is why I chose to make something for myself. This simple DIY Watercolor Canvas Art can be done in so many different ways and you will have fun doing them!

This simple DIY Watercolor Canvas Art was a ton of fun. The best thing about making your own art is that you ca be as creative and crazy as you want. This is your art, your canvas, make it speak to you. Have fun and come up with some crazy color combinations. Originally I wanted to do circles but I am a little OCD and would need them to be perfect circles. Well I have to hole punches so I steelers for triangles or sorts.

Step 01: The first thing you was to do is paint up some work. No reason to do anything fancy as you will be cutting up your work. Just have fun blending the different colors and seeing how the effects happen. I looked up blending on you tube and it make a huge difference as I am no artist. I used watercolor paper because of the weight. I didn’t want the watercolor paint to bleed through and get ruined.

Step 02: Once your paintings have dried begin cutting them up how you see fit. =P

Step 03: Once you have all your pieces cut begin laying them out on your canvas. I found this to be helpful so I could see where everything was and if it looked right to me.

Step 04: Once you have all your pieces in place. It’s time to glue!! Get out your Mod Podge and start by glueing your pieces down.

And then your done! You have a new beautiful piece of work that you created all on your own. It’s fun and creative and filled with amazing colors. How much better can it get?
