My Excitement About The Sims™ 4 Release! #TheSims4 #Shop | Optimistic Mommy

I remember when The Sims™ came out in 2000. I was only 10 at the time, so of course I was not allowed to go it. Plus, I don’t even think we had a computer yet. I never did end up getting any of the other The Sims™ games… until now! The Sims™ 4 just released this Tuesday, and I have had a lot of fun getting creative with this latest in The Sims™ series!

My Excitement About The Sims™ 4 Release! #TheSims4 #Shop | Optimistic MommyAt my close Walmart, I was a little shocked to find there wasn’t a big display for The Sims 4™. There was just a couple shelves and a small sign where the computer games were. I grabbed my copy, and was anxious to get home to try it out!

The Sims 4™ totes quite a few new featurs. This includes a Sims with Big Personality. They are now smarter, more relatable and emotionally a ware beings whose every action is affected by what they are thinking and feeling. They have skills, traits and aspirations that are affecting their behavior like they never have before! Because of these new personalities, they will tell you funny, touching and weirder stories. There are new creative tools, as well. You’ll be able to sculpt beautiful homes, room by room, with ease. And you can share your creativity like never before with your friends! The new Gallery function lets you upload and download creations easier than ever before in The Sims™!

There is a fun Facebook contest going on, as well called “SIMify Yourself.” There are lots of great prizes up for grabs, including a trip for 2 to San Francisco to visit Maxis Studios and a $1,000 AmEx gift card, a touch screen desktop computer with a Sims 4™ swag bag and a $250 Walmart gift card, as well as 10 $100 Walmart gift cards! There is absolutely NO PURCHASE NECESSARY! You can read the official rules here.

My Excitement About The Sims™ 4 Release! #TheSims4 #Shop | Optimistic MommySo far I have created a Sims character for Miles and myself. We just recently became a “household” on the game, and I am excited to see what else I can do! It has been fun exploring and finding out the fun features.
