How is everyone doing? I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I had a good weekend with my family. We didn’t do a whole lot except start packing for our move next week! I’m so excited to be moving from an apartment into a house! So exciting! 🙂 Our daughter is wondering why all of our things are going into boxes, though! LOL. My parents are going to take her to the mall or something when we move her things because when we rearranged her room one day she was not happy and didn’t stop crying – I guess she thought we were moving her out or something! Haha.
We’re trying to decide what to get Riley for her 1st birthday (please, nobody remind me that in 8 days she’s going to be one – I may break down in tears… again). We’re going to get her some clothes for summer but I don’t want to get her too many because she’s getting some from her grandparent’s as well. And I really do not want to get her any toys because she has WAY too many since Christmas wasn’t that long ago. What did you get your little one for their first birthday? Or what have you gotten another child for their first?
I’m a 20-something stay-at-home mother and wife. I have an amazing husband, a beautiful daughter, two loving dogs, and a lazy cat. I wouldn’t change my life for anything! I love to read, listen to music, cook and blog!

I know you weren’t looking for toys, but one of the favorites our kids received around age 1 were Little People from Fisher Price. They are the perfect size for little hands and they are durable as they will end up in little mouths, but they encourage pretend play and that is important. 🙂 Happy Birthday to your little one!
Also following you through linky followers now.
Gaia got so much stuff. If you don’t have a wagon that was a big hit for Miss G. Finger paints are fun. There’s tons of recipes to make your own actually.
