  1. Order something for the kids. Kids love Halloween. Costumes and candy? It’s the perfect combination for kids of all ages. Get into the halloween spirit by ordering something for the kiddos! Whether you get some kid-friendly Halloween decorations or personalized kids’ Halloween t-shirts, getting something for the kids will have you thinking about all things Halloween in no time.
  2. Plan out your decorations. Now’s the time to start thinking about what you want your decorations to look like. Some people will use the same decorations each year while others will mix it up each time. If you’re not looking to go out and buy a whole new set of decorations, consider how you can mix up the decor you do have. Instead of putting the plastic pumpkins outside your front door, why not line them up on your mantle or around your fireplace? Plan out your decorations now so that it doesn’t take you much time when you do start putting everything out in a few weeks. Plus, it’ll get you into the Halloween spirit!
  3. Decide if you’re hosting a party. Hosting a Halloween party is a lot of fun – but only if you want to host it! Decide now whether or not you want to host a Halloween party this year. If so, start to think about the guest list, whether or not you’re having a theme, figure out the menu and order some fun Halloween treat bags. You’ll also want to decide whether or not the party will be kid-friendly (or if you’re hosting one that is and one that isn’t). Decide on a budget, a date and time as well as location. Plan those details now so that you can be sure your Halloween party is a success when the time comes!
  4. Bake some cookies. Science has shown that baking makes you happy – so why not bake some Halloween cookies? Get out the mixer, spatula and rolling pin and bake your heart’s desire. Make some frosting, decorate with Halloween sprinkles and use Halloween shaped cookie cutters to really get into the spirit of Halloween. Bats, witches, ghosts… if it belongs in a Halloween category, then it’s a cookie shape you should bake!
