  • Place the child either belly-down across the lap or on a firm surface, or face up with legs bent towards the chest. 
  • While placing the kid in a belly-down position, keep your palm on the lower back. With a face-up position, keep your hand against the child’s thigh back. 
  • Then, insert the thermometer into the anal. Make the anal open for ½ inch to 1 inch, and push the thermometer’s tip until you feel any resistance. 
  • Place the thermometer steadily between your 2nd and 3rd fingers.

Oral Temperature
