Kings Island Soak City -01

Kings Island is my family’s favorite spot during the summer. There is so much to do. Just recently we finally visited Soak City, Kings Island’s water park – and it was so much fun! I’m excited to tell you more about it, including their new Tropical Plunge water slides!

kings island tropical plunge logoOf course you cannot go to Soak City without visiting the new Tropical Plunge attraction! Tropical Plunge has six different water slides that are nearly seven stories tall! There are three slides that are on a 65-foot tall complex and you will be put into an Aqua-Launch chamber. You wait for the floor to drop and you’ll be launched at a vertical free fall through a series of loops and S-curves. WOW! This was the wildest water slide I have ever been on. Wild, but SO much fun! I went on it three times because it was that much fun.

Soak City is full of all kinds of activities perfect for kids and the rest of the family. Besides Tropical Plunge, we loved Splash Landing, Coconut Cove and Castaway Cove. At Coconut Cove we were able to enjoy some time in a pool that wasn’t very deep so Riley was able to enjoy herself as well. The partially submerged ledges were really neat and there were lots of parents sitting on chairs there watching their kids. Definitely family friendly!

Castaway Cove and Splash Landing were Riley’s favorite parts. Castaway Cove is a mini shipwreck slide with a fountain for kids to play in. Splash Landing has lots of fun water slides and water activity stations. Riley’s favorite part? The big bucket at the top that filled with water and them dumped it on everyone under the playhouse. It was fun watching her have a grand time.
