Can you believe it’s already back to school time? Tomorrow is my daughter’s official first day of kindergarten, so this is definitely a fun time. I have been making a list of healthy and fun breakfast and snack ideas – and of course, I can’t forget delicious Ohio eggs!

Did you know that my home state of Ohio is the 2nd largest egg farming state in the nation? They produce more than 9 billion eggs each year – crazy! You can take a virtual tour of the Lochtefeld family’s egg farm in Mercer County, Ohio. You never know, their eggs may be the ones in your fridge and on your plate!

Since mornings can be busy with school back in session, a protein-rich breakfast is perfect for keeping kids full for hours. Did you know that one egg contains 6 grams of high-quality protein? And they don’t contain ay sugar or carb, and have 13 essential nutrients – with only 70 calories!. I have prepped a batch of hard-boiled eggs for breakfasts, lunches, and uses in recipes such as easy egg salad. Make sure to watch this easy-to-follow video and find out how to make perfect hard-boiled eggs!
