I absolutely love a good frappe and I’ve been wanting to try a frappe recipe at home. I had some left over coffee sitting in the carafe one afternoon and decided to give it a try. It was easy with essentially no prep work involved and so delicious!
Mixed Berry Chocolate Frappe Recipe
Ingredients:
- coffee (about 4 cups by carafe measurements)
- coffee creamer I used a chocolate caramel flavor
- fresh raspberries and strawberries
- chocolate syrup
- ice
- blender
Instructions:Step 1
Poor your left over coffee into the pitcher of your blender and add ice. The amount of ice you add will determine how frozen and thick your frappe is. I added approximately a freezer tray of ice. Blend until ice is crushed.
Step 2
Add approximately of coffee creamer and 2 tbsp of chocolate syrup to the coffee and ice.
Step 3
Add cup of fresh raspberries and cup of fresh strawberries to the mixture.
Step 4
Turn blender on to grind ice and remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth.
Step 5
Divide into 5 pretty glasses or mason jars. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and garnish with fresh berries.
While this does have chocolate syrup in the recipe, it could easily be made quite healthy! You can use fat free coffee creamer as well as low calorie chocolate syrup. You can also use a decaffeinated coffee if you are looking for that option. This is a perfect treat for a summer morning or afternoon!
