Now That COVID Is Packing Up, It’s Time for a Good Skincare Routine

COVID seems to be packing up and heading home—the world is finally becoming more stable! That said, it just might be the perfect time to get started with a new skincare routine so that you can come out of the pandemic looking better than ever. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably neglected your skin amid all of the fear and anxiety, but now that everyone will be out and about in the world, it’s time to take charge of our health. The skin, after all, is the largest organ we have, and it needs proper treatment to keep its strength and integrity!

Drink a lot of water

Believe it or not, most people don’t drink enough water. This bad habit may have worsened over the course of the pandemic, especially since our preoccupation with technology distracts us from taking care of our most pressing needs. Keep in mind, though, that a lot of water is required to keep the skin hydrated!

Moisturizing creams

Every solid skincare routine incorporates a great moisturizing cream. Moisturizing the skin is essential, as it minimizes daily wear from UV rays and particle pollution. The best creams provide your skin with essential vitamins and minerals, so when you are at the store, make sure to look at the ingredients and aim for natural products.

Facial masks at different times

Face masks are a must-have for any skincare routine, and there are so many different types. Natural masks are usually the best option, as they don’t expose your face to harmful chemicals.

Using a mask every day will do a number of wonderful things, like reduce pore size, which results in tighter, smoother skin. Try to wear a mask when you first wake up and before you go to bed, and you’ll quickly notice a huge difference!

Facial Rejuvenation

Facial rejuvenation is a term that encompasses all sorts of aesthetic treatments, like creams, lotions, face masks, and even cosmetic procedures like Botox, laser resurfacing, and facelifts.

Certain products use ingredients like hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring fluid that can hydrate and smooth sensitive skin. Hyaluronic acid also minimizes blemishes and can give you a lasting youthful glow.

If you’re interested in starting a facial rejuvenation routine, buy some products and apply them correctly, and try to kick bad habits like smoking and drinking. You’ll look great in no time!

Apply your products in the right order

Scientists have confirmed that the first thing you put on your face permeates the fastest. So, it’s important to apply skincare products in an order that best benefits your skin. In other words, try applying products in an order that corresponds to your needs—if you want to get rid of acne, for example, apply your creams as soon as you wake up.

Another great tip is to use different products for difference problems. For instance, if you’re battling a rash, you’ll want to use a rash-specific cream rather than, say, an exfoliator.

Washing the face more often

As refreshing as it is to be outdoors, it isn’t always great for the skin. The air has many contaminants that contribute to fine lines and wrinkles and neglecting to wash your face after a long day in the sun can accelerate the aging process. So, find a cleanser that suits you and don’t let go of it!

Keep in mind, however, that as important as washing your face is, you shouldn’t overdo it. Too much scrubbing can actually cause abrasions and other blemishes. It’s best to evaluate the sensitivity of your own skin before diving deep into a cleansing routine.
