Reintroducing Myself

Sharing is caring!

For April I have decided to participate in the Ultimate Blog Challenge. I am going to attempt to do at least one blog post a day. Of course that doesn’t count giveaways and other exciting things I have in store for you this month. 🙂

To start April off, I thought I would kind of reintroduce myself. I have received a lot of new readers since this blog started in January of 2012, and I know everyone doesn’t get a chance to go to my ‘About Me’ at the top of the homepage, so here we go!

My name is Courtney. I was born July 7, 1990 and from the time I was 8 months old I was raised by my grandparents. Growing up I called my grandparents mom and dad, and continue to do so. I was so lucky to have them – who knows where I would be if it wasn’t for them… I don’t even want to think about that.

In school, I did tap and ballet for about six years before taking a year break. I then decided to play softball and basketball. I loves softball so much and decided to become a pitcher. I took pitching lessons from sixth grade all the way up until my sophomore year in high school. Unfortunately I received a couple injuries that resulted in me getting chronic pain called Reflexive Sympathetic Dystrophy, also called Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome. I will be talking more about RSD/CRPS this month, so I will not get too much into it.

wedding-10-20-2010

October 20, 2010 I married my wonderful husband, Miles. He is my rock, my heart, my soul, and my best friend. He can drive me absolutely crazy at times, but I do not know what I would do without him.

March 14, 2011 Miles and I welcomed our beautiful daughter, Riley, into the world. She is our pride and joy. I still cannot believe that she turned two just a few weeks ago. I never believed people when they said the time would go by so quickly… oh, how wrong I was! She learns something new every day. For example, yesterday I taught her how to sign ‘I love you.’ Before going to bed she signed it… brought tears to my eyes. She is such a smart, beautiful little girl. Miles and I are so proud of her.

I think this is a good start to reintroducing myself to all of you lovely people. Throughout April you’ll be learning even more about me – so stay tuned! 🙂

  1. When I saw your birth date I almost had a heart attack. I’m old. lol Thanks for sharing this info about yourself. I’ve noticed that when I share information about myself on my blog that I become a better person – I can’t explain how it happens or what happens, but it’s like I become more of who I am and am supposed to be.
