Remembering My Jenny Craig Moment During Hard Times #JennyCraigMoment

As some of you know, I have been doing the Jenny Craig weight loss program. I am currently on week 5. The past 2 weeks while on the program have been difficult, to say the least. Between sickness in the family and unexpected times when I have not been home to eat the Jenny Craig program – and an unexpected date night my husband treated me to. During my consultation with Amber last week (which was the week after being sick), I was at the weight that I was the week before – 198.6. I was content with that because I didn’t eat a whole lot since I was sick the week before. Yesterday was my consultation for this week, and I had high hopes since I actually went and joined a gym and had worked out a couple times after I started feeling better.

Unfortunately, I somehow gained 0.4 pounds. That was a major bummer, let me tell you. I’ve been sticking to the program and have even added more exercise in, yet I gained 0.4 pounds. Amber was great with me, though, and we talked about things that may have caused the gain – and we deterimed the fact that it was my lovely “lady time” of the month, and I was feeling kind of bloated, that was probably it. We both have high hopes for this next week’s weigh in, especially since I started with a personal trainer at my local gym today! {*Results not typical. It’s easy to get down when you don’t see the results you want. I know this first hand. But you have to remember your Jenny Craig Moment. Your “why” for why you’re making this life change. For me, it’s because of my daughter. I want her to see mommy happy and feeling good about herself, and I want to be able to do more with her. Riley is very active and loves to go out and play all the time. But I tell her many times no, or let her daddy take her, because I am ust too tired to do so because of my weight. We’re all going to have down moments, but we can’t stay down forever. We have to rise. And that’s what I am going to do this next week – and I know I will succeed!

Jenny Craig - 5 Inches LostIn good news, since it was the end of my fourth week on Jenny Craig, so we measured to see if I have lost any inches. And I did! I’ve lost 5 total inches in 4 weeks. I am extremely proud of that.
