Occupying a site that covers over 30,000 square feet, Experimentarium City is one of the best places to take children in Copenhagen. Located close to Nyhavn, where some top-notch Copenhagen hotels can be found as well, Experimentarium City affords children the chance to have fun whilst learning about themselves. Many of the activities on offer involve a high degree of interaction, such as attempting to guess smells or cycling on a reverse-steering bicycle. However, the context of the attraction never forgets that kids need to form their own opinions and conclusions from the fun they are having, promoting scientific thought through novel approaches.

Tivoli Gardens is a true gem of Copenhagen. Not only is its architecture stunning, but much of its planting is lush and inviting too. However, kids will love it for the amusement park which has its home in a section of the gardens. Tivoli Gardens Amusement Park has a number great new rides, but what makes it stand out from the run-of-the-mill theme park are the many vintage rides which still operate there, such as the wooden roller coaster which dates back to 1914. Children are admitted free of charge.
