Tips And Tricks To Reducing Wrinkles

You’re never too young to start following an anti-aging routine that irons out fine lines and delays the process of wrinkles and folds. Although aging is a natural process, no one wants to look older than their age. When ignored, fine lines gradually deepen into wrinkles, which can be challenging to treat and mask.

Whether you’re looking for preventive measures or for ways to treat already existing wrinkles, here are tried and tested tricks that can reduce the appearance of any signs of aging.

Hydrate

The fountain of youth is not a myth, and it’s usually packaged at your local supermarket as bottled water. Drinking 2-3 liters a day is essential for preventing fine lines and wrinkles, and it may even reduce the appearance of existing signs of aging, ranging from folds and cellulite to hyperpigmentation.

However, you should also make sure to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out; meaning, you need to use a moisturizer on your face and neck. You don’t need to invest in designer brands that burn a hole through your wallet, either. A good rule of thumb to follow is to use a product that suits your skin type. Never use lotion on your face, seeing as it’s usually too thick and oily and may irritate your skin. If you don’t like creams, opt for a vitamin C serum that you can apply before bed.

Cosmetic Treatments

No matter what products you use and how well you look after your skin, a little won’t go a long way with natural treatments if your skin has already developed wrinkles. You may be able to reduce the appearance of fine lines around your lips, but some areas, such as your forehead, are nearly impossible to treat naturally. However, you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on plastic surgery to reverse signs of aging.

Going under the knife for a facelift is now becoming much less common in the cosmetic treatment world. On the other hand, one of the easiest methods used in treating forehead lines is botox injections. They give instant results, they’re affordable, and most importantly, they’re safe! If you have droopy cheeks, you can also consult your dermatologist about other options, such as fillers. Just stay away from permanent injections, such as silicone, seeing as the skin does not age well with them.

Dermarolling

Whether you have fine lines or deep wrinkles, dermarolling is an effective method to encourage your body to treat its own skin. Dermarollers come in a myriad of shapes and sizes, with some needles as short as 0.5mm and some as long as 3.0mm. For sagging skin, 1.5mm needles usually suffice. Rolling needles on your face may be uncomfortable, but you only need to do it once every half to three months and follow that with a nourishing serum or anti-aging cream.

While the needling session promotes rapid and effective absorption of any serums or creams you apply afterward, the mild puncturing of your skin tricks your body into thinking your skin needs to heal, which promotes collagen production and the flow of nutrients to the punctured areas. However, you should avoid dermarolling healthy skin; always target wrinkles and fine lines only, especially if you’re working with longer needles.

Diet

Whereas diet will not make your current wrinkles disappear, it can certainly prevent more from forming any time soon. Following a
