Tips to Make Toddler Bath Time Clean and Fun

Sharing is caring!

When it comes to bath time and toddlers, you can be confident that there will be a mess! Toddlers usually enjoy playing in their baths and take this time to have a blast with their little rubber ducky toys and other bath fun supplies that most parents purchase for their toddler.

While it’s fun to make bath time enjoyable so that your toddler will agree to get clean, it’s also important to start teaching your toddlers about independent bath time. A toddler won’t be able to take an unsupervised bath, by any means, but you can work to help them clean their body and make it fun at the same time while you sit beside the tub to keep a close eye on them.

Today I’m sharing some tips that will help you teach your toddler some independence during bath time and allow them to have fun!

Put Safety First

Of course, it’s important to put safety first. Ensure that all shaving supplies and any other item that’s not toddler-friendly have been placed out of reach before toddler bath time. You’ll also want to remain in the bathroom to supervise your toddler as they learn to be independent in the tub.

Check the Temperature

Often times our toddler’s skin is more sensitive to heat than ours, always test the bathtub water for the safest temperature before letting your toddler get into the tub. They have a variety of temperature tub toy options available online and at local retail shops.

Check Toys

It’s a great idea to check your toddler’s bath toys from time to time to make sure there isn’t any grime or mold building up on the toys. When you see the toys are aging and perhaps dangerous for your toddler, simply throw them away and replace them with new toys when you can.

Show Your Child

The first step in making sure your toddler can be independent about washing their body in the bathtub is to show them where to wash and how. I like to use the Scrub-A-Dubdub soap dispenser that doubles as a bath brush for maximum cleaning.

All About Scrub-A-Dubdub

Whether you want an easy way to use soap while cleaning your baby and toddler, or you want to show your toddler how to clean their body on their own, the Scrub-A-Dubdub is the solution. This is a bath brush and soap dispenser in one.

All you have to do is fill the Scrub-A-Dubdub with liquid soap or shampoo and then use it to squeeze and brush your little one clean. The easy to hold container is the perfect size for parents who want to encourage their toddlers to clean on their own. Many parents have opted to use Scrub-A-Dubdub to put moisturizer and sunscreen on their squirmy little ones too.

The current retail price of Scrub-A-Dubdub is affordable at just $12.99 on the Evolved Parent Co. website.
