Nutrient Density

Masticating juicers can also be called “cold press juicers.” This is not because the process of juicing is cold, it just isn’t hot. When a centrifugal juicer is on, it can spin around 10,000 times per minute which can generate heat in the process. The heat generated by these juicers can cause damage to the nutrients in the foods you are juicing. 

Masticating juicers on the other hand don’t generate any heat while they are operating, so your juice has a higher nutrient density when compared to a centrifugal juicer.


Masticating juicers can juice just about anything you want and still produce a high juice yield. Centrifugal juicers are typically better suited for harder fruits and vegetables. If you want to be able to juice anything from oranges and carrots, to leafy greens and ginger, a masticating juicer will be up for the task.

There are typically only a few parts, most of which are dishwasher safe, and the process of hand washing can take less than 5 minutes.
