If you live in Cincinnati or will be visiting and are looking for something fun, yet affordable, to do with your family, I definitely recommend The Beach Waterpark! With over 35 acres full of activities for all ages, your family is definitely guaranteed to have a great time!

The Beach Waterpark can be found in Mason, Ohio which is located just 20 minutes north of Cincinnati or south of Dayton off of I-71. It is situated on 35 acres of wooded terrain and provides lots of shade. You’ll find live palm trees, ocean sand, waterfalls, and rockwork which helps set the scene and makes you forget you’re not really at the beach!

Right now is actually a great time to get a season pass because The Beach is having a special sale where if you buy the 2014 season pass for $54.95 then you also get the remainder of 2013 for FREE! Nothing beats free in my opinions! Also, you can add on a season parking pass as well and pay only $69.95! You won’t get any lower prices for a season pass, so I definitely recommend getting this before it ends!

Have you never been to The Beach Waterpark and wonder what there is to do? Here’s just a few things that I love about it!

Things To Do In Cincinnati: The Beach Waterpark - Big Surf Wave Pool | Optimistic Mommy

You cannot have a waterpark without a wave pool, and the Big Surf Wave Pool is fun for all ages! They have improved it so it is heated and has authentic ocean waves. If you have children, they have added the Kiddie Cove which is designed for toddlers and children!

Things To Do In Cincinnati: The Beach Waterpark - The Cliff | Optimistic Mommy

If you love thrilling water rides, The Cliff is definitely not going to disappoint you! In just three seconds you drop five stories. This great attraction has actually been rated one of the best slides in the country – so I’m sure you will love it!

A couple more ‘thrilling’ rides at The Beach Waterpark include Cowabunga Curl and Banzai Blast. To see the full list of thrill rides just go here!

Things To Do In Cincinnati: The Beach Waterpark - Kokomo Lazy River | Optimistic Mommy

If you like to relax more or just need a break from the bigger rides, there’s always the Kokomo Lazy River, which is my favorite. Just grab an innertube (which are provided!) and relax as you drift away at 5 MPH that takes you 1,200 feet around and throughout the park. It’s definitely fun to grab a friend or your spouse and just relax and talk.

For other chill rides, go here to see the list!

Things To Do In Cincinnati: The Beach Waterpark - Big Creek Beach | Optimistic Mommy

If you have children, don’t be worried about having something to keep them happy – there really is something for every age! All new for 2013 is the Big Creek Beach, which is pictured above. There’s four different slides, as well as a 600 gallon dump bucket and water cannons so your kids can blast their friends (because they’d never blast their parents, right?! ;-)) Have a toddler, like I do? They’ll love the Lil’ Kahuna’s Waterworks, which is also new for 2013! There’s cascading fountains, geysers, and misting sprays – all available for your curious toddler! For more kid-friendly fun, just check out The Beach Waterpark’s site!

If you plan on staying most of the day, you can always pack a lunch and keep it in your car and eat at Sunset Point. Sunset Point is located by the parking lot. If you would rather not do that, there’s lots of great choices available inside the park, including Surfside Grill. Another great feature that was just added is an arcade. This is great for getting out of the sun and letting your kids have some fun still.

The Beach Waterpark has lots of great events and attractions to make for a fun-filled day for all ages! I definitely recommend going with either your family or a group of friends – you’re guaranteed to have a great time! Make sure to take advantage of their 2014 Season Pass special if you plan on returning! It’s definitely worth the money!
